Move Devon was created with a simple idea: mobility equipment hire should be local, straightforward, affordable and delivered with genuinely good customer service.
The business was founded by Charlie, who is also Director of Hands On Hand Home Care, based in Kingsteignton, Devon.
Through his experience working within the care sector, Charlie saw first-hand how important the right mobility equipment can be to someone's independence and quality of life. He also noticed something else: when people only needed equipment temporarily, finding a friendly, local and affordable hire service wasn't always as easy as it should be.
Whether somebody was recovering from an operation, visiting Devon on holiday, supporting a family member or simply needed some additional help getting around, there was a clear need for a more accessible local service.
That idea became Move Devon.
